*Penn State’s Luke Lilledahl Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week*
Penn State freshman wrestler Luke Lilledahl has been named the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week, following his impressive performance at the Big Ten Championship. Lilledahl, seeded third at 125 pounds, took home the individual title, defeating Nebraska’s No. 2 Caleb Smith 4-3 in the championship match.
Lilledahl’s win marked his first Big Ten title and capped off an impressive freshman campaign. He finished the regular season with a 20-1 record, including 10 wins over ranked opponents.
This is Lilledahl’s first Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honor. He is the fifth Penn State wrestler to receive the award this season, joining teammates Levi Haines, Carter Starocci, Aaron Brooks, and Shayne Van Ness.
